Whether you plan to try some Pecorino from Pienza or some of Tuscany’s famous wines (including ours)or discover the antiquities of Arezzo, the treasures of Cortona, Montepulciano and Siena or the tranquillity that is Assisi – or a day trip to Florence - (an hour by train) - these are just a few ideas to contemplate whilst you sit back and relax by our heated swimming pool enjoying the ever changing Tuscan vista that surround Casa Portagioia.

Casa Portagioia offers 5 independent guest bedrooms and 2 suite apartments, all with luxury bathrooms.  Four of the bedrooms and both apartments benefit from air-conditioning. Our accommodations are fresh and inviting.  For a Tuscan country bed & breakfast you’ll find everything ‘just so’ from our comfortable orthopaedic beds to the modern bright bathrooms to the lovely views of our gardens and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.

Breakfast at Casa Portagioia can be quite a perilous activity!  You might find yourself sitting on our terraces for hours on end – taking in the views, sipping a fresh cappuccino when you had planned to be on the road discovering more than just our beautiful valley – such is the relaxed style at Casa Portagioia.

You might also be at Casa Portagioia for one of our dinner parties.  During the summer these take place on one of our terraces overlooking the bucolic splendour of the valley.  A five-course dinner is served – and you might like to try some of Tuscany’s finest and award winning wines from our cellar.

The focal points of Casa Portagioia are the spectacular pool with its panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside and Casa Portagioia’s gardens.  The Cypress lined drive, the lavender, roses, rosemary and ginistra mingle with terracotta pots bursting with summer colours and fragrances.  This can be your 'Home in Tuscany' whenever you choose.
